Pineapple Rum Punch Recipe:
Ingredients:
- Rum – preferably white
- 1 6-oz. can of pineapple juice – buying the small cans is a great option when you need just a little pineapple juice in cocktails
- 1 can of Bivouac Marlin Spike Pineapple Pear Cider
- 1 Lime
- Ice
- Fresh mint leaves
Other items you will need:
- Glass
- Muddler
- Lemon/lime squeezer – a great kitchen gadget, but if you don’t have one, hand-squeeze the lime
Time to make: 10 minutes
Serves: 1
Step 1: Muddle
Cut half a lime into pieces and muddle the lime with about 5-8 mint leaves in a bowl or glass. If you don’t have a muddler (or are feeling a little lazy), you can skip this step or use a wooden spoon to get the same desired effect. Pour a shot of rum in with the muddled lime and mint mixture to allow the rum to soak in the flavors of the lime and mint.
- If you aren’t a fan of rum, you can swap vodka for rum for a slightly different taste.
- You can also add sugar or simple syrup if you like a sweeter drink!
Step 2: Combine the drink ingredients
Add ice to your glass, and then pour in the mixture of rum, mint, and lime using a strainer or spoon. Pour in a splash of pineapple juice for some added flavor, and then top with half a can of Bivouac Marlin Spike Pineapple Pear Cider. The cider adds more pineapple flavor while providing a bit of carbonation!
- Feel free to adjust the proportions of pineapple juice and Bivouac Marlin Spike Pineapple Pear Cider depending on your preferences!
- If you don’t have pineapple juice, consider blending fresh pineapple to create a smoothie-like texture. You can also use any other fruit juice that compliments the Bivouac Marlin Spike Pineapple Pear Cider!
Step 3: Stir & Enjoy
Stir to ensure all the ingredients are mixed, and top with a piece of fresh pineapple! Now you have a delicious and fruity summer cocktail made in less than 5 minutes!
These measurements are perfect for a single serving! If you are making drinks for two people, double the recipe. We recommend quadrupling the ingredients in a pitcher for a large group.
This drink is perfect for lounging by the pool, drinking at a BBQ, bringing to a friend’s house, or simply enjoying on a summer evening!
