Not only is this cider perfect for creating a delicious Sangria, but it’s also available just in time for Women’s History Month this March. This cider is the product of two women owned craft beverage businesses based out of San Diego, CA. The two can release – Tropical Rosé Sangria Cider (Rosé, pear, pineapple, mango) and Red Sangria Cider (Cabernet, apple, cherry, plum, orange, cinnamon) incorporate Bivouac cider and REVOLT’s Rosé and Cabernet wines. The trailblazing women-led brands share a common ethos of forging their own path in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry. According to McKinsey & Co just four percent of C-suite positions in the wine and spirits industry were held by women (2019). Bivouac celebrates the adventurous spirit that goes hand in hand with going “off trail” and REVOLT goes “against the norm” by producing non-traditional, non-pretentious wines sold in kegs only. Buy local, by women.

Today, we’re making a Rosé Apple Cider Sangria, but you could also create a red sangria using the Bivouac X Revolt Red Sangria Cider. Just add in your favorite red wine – we recommend a Bold, fruity, dry Spanish red wine (like Tempranillo, Garnacha, or other Rioja wine) – along with a liquor like rum or brandy, and fresh fruit like oranges, apples, strawberries, cherries and whatever else you like!

Ingredients for Tropical Rosé Cider Sangria

peach sangria recipe
  • 1 bottle your favorite rosé wine
  • 2 cans Bivouac X Revolt Tropical Rosé Sangria Cider
  • 1 32oz bottle mango juice
  • 2 cups sliced or chunks of pineapple, divided
  • 1 cup hulled and sliced strawberries, divided
  • ice (optional)
  • mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions – Topical Wine Sangria

Pour the bottle of rosé, the mango juice, and the cider into a large pitcher. Add ¾ of the sliced or chunks of pineapple, strawberries, and raspberries. Set aside the remaining fruit in a refrigerator-safe container or plastic bag. Place the pitcher of sangria into the refrigerator and chill in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 6 hours.

When ready to serve, use the remaining fruit pieces as garnish on the rim of each glass. Add some ice cubes if it’s a really hot day. Add a mint leaf as garnish to each glass if you wish. Cheers!
